Zimbabwe has failed to pay the army on time for the second straight month, army sources said on Friday, underscoring the precarious financial position of President Robert Mugabe’s government.

The army is paid on the 14th of each month but by Friday soldiers and air force officers said they were still to receive their money and the government had not set new pay dates.
There was no comment from finance ministry officials.
