Veterans of Zimbabwe’s war of liberation say they are more than ready to go to war with America if its new president, Donald Trump, try to “be funny”. Manicaland minister for Provincial Affairs, Mandiitawepi Chimene, told Zimbo Today.com that as the defenders of the country’s revolution, they are more than ready to go to war in defence of President Robert Mugabe and the country against possible invasion by the imperialist Americans under the leadership of Trump.
“Maybe Trump was young when we defeated the British here and won our independence in 1980. We can teach the Americans a good lesson if they allow them to be misled by that thief who rigged his way into power last week,” Chimene said. “Trump & Co should know that it is nearly 40 years since we last tested white blood, so we very much look forward to this war,” added the no nonsense war veteran leader who this week threatened to beat up War Veterans minister Tshinga Dube.
At the weekend Trump rejected a congratulatory message from the world’s oldest Statesman, President Mugabe, a clear sign that he is upto no good. Trump is quoted in January saying: “I want to reiterate here before America’s greatest heroes that I will not condone any dictatorial tendencies exhibited by dictators around the world especially the two old men from Zimbabwe and Uganda” Mugabe and Museveni must be put on notice that their days are numbered and that I am going to arrest them and lock them in prison. If the past American administrations have failed to stop these two despots, I will personally do it.”-Zimbotoday
