Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) has started searching for a new chief executive officer three months after Engineer Albert Muyambo was allegedly forced into early retirement.
The water utility is seeking a new CEO to steer the organisation to meet its mandate and restore the viability of its operations.
Eng Muyambo, a civil engineer by training, left zinwa at a time when the water utility was facing operational challenges due to non-payment of more than US$100 million it is owed by various debtors.
Last year, the water authority also terminated contracts for all its 120 contract workers across the country due to financial constraints and other challenges facing the organisation.
