The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) says South African Entertainer Zodwa Wabantu will be performing in Zimbabwe following a decision to accommodate her in less conservative areas.

This follows last week’s tiff where the ZTA indicated she cannot come to perform in Zimbabwe without undergarments to which the artist argued is not possible.

Reacting to public concerns ZTA last week made remarks indicating Zodwa cannot come to perform at the 2017 edition of the Harare International Carnival without undergarments to which the artist argued it is not possible because that is part of her trademark.

The stand-off between the two parties led to word exchange with Zodwa expressing her unhappiness over these comments highlighting that it badly affected her brand as a performer.

The ZTA has now made a huge climb down to amend relations with the South African entertainer saying she is welcome to perform in Zimbabwe following a decision to accommodate her in less conservative areas in the country.

Zodwa is among a top South African contingent of artistes who include Oskido, Uhuru, Babes Wodumo and Busiswa who are billed to perform at the 2017 edition of the Harare International Carnival from the 1st to the 10th of September.

The event will also feature DRC rhumba maestro Werrason as well as top Zimbabwean musicians among them Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi, Jah Prayzah, Winky D, and Soul Jah Love.-ZBC
