According to reports, the actor’s lawyers have used French privacy law to keep the snaps under wraps
Leonardo DiCaprio was reportedly photographed kissing Rihanna – but blocked pictures of their encounter from being published.
According to reports, the actor was snapped seemingly kissing Riri while they partied at L’Arc nightclub in Paris on Sunday.
But Leo, who recently split from girlfriend Kelly Rohrbach, called in his lawyers to stop the evidence from getting out.
MailOnline report that the film star’s legal representatives sent out a warning that the images shouldn’t be published under French privacy law.
The website alleges that Leo is likely to have argued he had a ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’ while he was partying at the club.
Gavin Millar QC told the website that sterner privacy laws in France mean that complainants can sue if ‘intrusive’ pictures are published.
He told the news outlet: “The problem comes when the pictures is telling you something about a person’s private life.
“[Leonardo DiCaprio’s] case is not untypical. In France, there are established privacy laws and in Britain they are still evolving.”
We have contacted Leo’s reps for a comment.
Rihanna was actually hanging out with model Cara Delevingne when she bumped into Leo over the weekend.
According to TMZ, the pair merely kissed each other on the cheek and didn’t go any further.
A source explained: “Rihanna came in with Cara Delevigne. She congratulated Leo and kissed him on the cheek. They didn’t hang out there though and left separately shortly after.”
“They’re just friends,” the insider added.
Leo and Rihanna were first romantically linked at the start of 2015.
Rumours about them were rampant for months as the pair seemed to crop up at the same places time and time again.
In June, Leo took legal action when French publication Oops! Magazine claimed he’d got Rihanna pregnant.
