HARARE – Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi has been meeting with his Zimbabwean counterpart in Harare to discuss the death of Minister Jonathan Moyo’s daughter in Cape Town last month.
Twenty-year-old Zanele Moyo had been studying in Cape Town.
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has criticised the way South Africa handled the investigation into Zanele’s death.
She was found dead in her flat on 17 October and when her body was sent home after the post-mortem, her heart was missing.
This meeting was undoubtedly a way to discuss the way forward.
Motsoaledi and his Zimbabwean counterpart David Parirenyatwa have issued a statement together, saying they plan to review the case.
Moyo has made no secret of his grief on Twitter and he’s understood to be on compassionate leave from his job until November 23.
