Rumours are sweeping social media that Finance Minister, Patrick Chinamasa’s son has been arrested with a large amount of US dollars stashed in the boot of his car.
He was nabbed at the Beitbridge border and some are putting the amount of cash he had at $7 million. A Financial Gazette reporter tweeted this morning : “I am told that Chinamasa’s son has been arrested at Beitbridge border post with US $7million he was taking out of country.”
It is said that the officer who stumbled on the loot put his foot down, refusing to cut a deal and took him in. This, however, is unconfirmed.-Online
