President Robert Mugabe and his wife Grace are currently under house arrest in Harare after the army took control in a bloodless coup this week. Nehanda Radio compiles here a full list of cabinet ministers, senior Zanu PF and state security officials who have allegedly been arrested.

Ignatius Chombo – Finance Minister
Jonathan Moyo – Higher Education Minister
Saviour Kasukuwere – Local Government Minister
State Security officials in custody
Augustine Chihuri – Police Commissioner General (contained at own house, has potent security, to take him would incur casualties)
Albert Ngulube – Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) deputy director (We understand he was beaten up so badly he almost died)
Arrested but later released
Paul Chimedza – Masvingo Provincial Affairs Minister
Webster Shamu – former Zanu PF political commissar and Minister
Paddy Zhanda – Deputy Minister Agriculture
Godfrey Gandawa – Deputy Higher education Minister (detained at tollgate)
Out of the country
Phelekezela Mphoko – Vice President (Was enroute to Japan when coup happened, then Dubai at crucial moment, now in Russia)
Patrick Zhuwao – Public Service Minister (Claims to be in South Africa, but was in Argentina when coup happened, on Saturday met Zambian leader)
Makhosini Hlongwane – Sports Minister (Hlongwane crossed into Mozambique, his drivers detained on way back but later released)

Walter Mzembi – Foreign Affairs Minister (thought to be in Cuba, Zambia or secret location in Zimbabwe)
