GONYETI hails Jah Prayzah

CONTROVERSIAL songbird, Pamela “Gonyeti” Zulu, says she remains focused on her work despite differences with former paymaster, Jah Prayzah.

In fact, she hails him for giving her exposure and she insists she now focuses on her audience-building mission.

As she makes great strides in her expedition, the 31-year-old continues to build her fan base, having performed at InnerCafe and being a regular at Time & Jazz Cafe.

Management at the venue has confirmed the deal with Gonyeti which is likely to run for the greater part of the money-spinning festive season.

“I am super excited to be performing at La Rouge Bar & Restaurant in Westgate this Friday.

“This will be my first time performing at the venue and I am looking forward to a sold out show.

“I have been promoting tracks off my forth-coming album and fans know what to expect from me,” she said.

Added Gonyeti:

“I’m no new comer in the game having played with a number of artistes over the years.

“At the moment, I think I have matured to be my own lady and that’s why I am soldiering on.”

Gonyeti is one of the most experienced songbirds who spent the greater part of her career working under established and yesteryear Afro jazz crooners.

She once fronted a number of jazz outfits in Victoria Falls before she relocated to the capital.

In the capital, she would alternate between Summer Breeze and Jabavu Drive prior to her joining Jah Prayzah in 2013.

She, however, left Jah Prayzah on the eve of the seventh album, Mdhara Vachauya to pursue a solo career.H-metro
