Governor Mangudya Angers Mugabe

RESERVE Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) governor, “Dr” John Panonetsa Mangudya’s days at the apex bank could be numbered following reports that President Robert Mugabe is very angry that the embattled central bank chief, who is supposed to be seized with finding solutions to the country’s cash crisis, last wee had time to entertain “dissident”, Evan Mawarire.

Last week Mangudya gave audience to Mawarire where he was presented with a portrait of the now defunct Zimbabwe Dollar with a message that he should not take the country back to the Zim$ era.

To rub it in, the message was addressed to a “Mr” Mangudya, not “Dr”, just to drive home the point that Mangudya is a holder of a fake doctorate degree.

“The President is very upset that Mangudya had time to entertain someone who has been doing everything over the past weeks to embarrass the government,” a source at Munhumutapa Building said .

“How could he spare time to entertain a dissident like Mawarire that everyone knows is being sponsored by the country’s detractors in the West,” the source added.

Mangudya in currently battling to contain a widespread cash crisis that is threatening to bring the tired government of President Mugabe down.

Should be cross with the FinMin, the boss of the RBZ gov? It is also called consultations even with your enemies as you might have missed something like consulting with the Constitution as he was told by lawyer Mahere?
