Congregants at Family of God church led by Prophet Andrew Wutawunashe are protesting against recent revelations that the man of cloth divorced his wife Dr RF Wutawunashe to marry a church congregant.
This follows a statement issued by Prophet Wutawunashe which is currently circulating on social media where he opened up about the divorce.
In the statement,Prophet Wutawunashe also revealed that he has been on separation with his wife for 10 years and they finally officially divorced now.
“I am writing to you today a message from my heart which though painful is best that I write to you.
“The purpose of this message is that you may know some important truth about my life which to the present date I thought best to keep private for the sake of the work of God has been doing in your and other people’s lives through me.
“It’s now imperative that you know that my marriage is coming to an official end after ten years of separation,but without recrimination.
“I want you to know that in this entire period I strove to faithfully minister to you all that the Lord gave me for you,and that though this change has come to my life, I humbly desire to continue ministering to you all that God gives me for you.
I also want you to know that as soon as it is permissible,I am persuaded that I should end the season of the past ten years or more by getting married sooner rather than later,” reads part of the statement.
Meanwhile,social media was awash with messages from followers of Prophet Wutawunashe who described the news as disturbing and shocking.
“This is what I call great betrayal how can he say it now when they were on separation all this time,” Tafadzwa Makwanya.
“This is what your hard-earned money ends up doing. Wake up guys.these don’t seek your opinions they tell you to put up or shut up all they need from you is your money to fly business class to come and collect more from the gullible ones.You should learn to ask questions and get answers,” Melody Badza Chinouriri.
