Christopher Lovemore Mbanga, the acting Harare mayor who was recently appointed by Saviour Kasukuwere has a very rich history, being former National Organising secretary for Abel Muzorewa’s UANC party.
The father to Wilf and Chris was a Rhodesian Special Branch operative who worked so tireless to ensure that tens of dozens nationalists got locked up in Rhodesian jails.This is contained in Edgar Tekere’s book, A lifetime of Struggle. Tekere at one time, one of the agents who came for him was Mbanga senior.
