Khupe recalls 4 MDC-A MPs from parliament

Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda announced that Nelson Chamisa’s key MPs are no longer serving the august house following their recall in April 2020.

Said Mudenda, “on the 3rd of April 2020 Parliament was notified by the Movement Of Democratic Change Tsvangirai party, MDC-T that hon. C Hwende, member of parliament of Kuwadzana Constituency, Hon T Khumalo, Proportional Rep Of Bulawayo Province, Hon, T Mutseyami, MP of Chikanga Dangamvura Constituency have ceased to be members of the MDC-T party and therefore no longer represent the interest of the party and therefore Section 159 1a of the Constitution Of Zimbabwe provides that and I quote, ‘the seat of a member of parliament becomes vacant if the member has ceased to belong to the political party on which he or she was a member …

Commenting on Mudenda’ s announcement, political analyst Dr Pedzisai Ruhanya said:

Corona Parliament sitting to implement a corona lockdown judgement.

Agenda is to attempt to destroy MDC
@nelsonchamisa
while there are restrictions for political organization. But this will fail.

Khupe and Mwonzora recall MPs Hwende, Tabitha Khumalo and Mutseyami during Parliament sitting.

These are MDC Alliance MPs. Let the politics begin. The ZANU PF hand has clearly come out!
