Homicide police have charged Zimbabwe People First National spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire for killing a stray pit bull terrier in his yard in 2014.
Mawarire had been summoned by the cops this morning.
“Back from police,was charged with (1) malicious damage 2 property 4 shooting a stray pit bull terrier in my yard on 31 Jan 2014” he said.
He added “(2) was also charged with “pointing a firearm on (us)”, am not sure who the “us” are since complainant is one.
“State initially declined to prosecute in March 2014 since it could not prove a prima facie case. After my Prof Moyo tweets, there is a case”.
Early morning he said he was puzzled as to why he was summoned saying “Police have time & guts to call me for questioning yet Prof Moyo the thief is roaming govt offices after being caught with hands in the till”.
