Michelle Obama sings Beyoncé’s Single Ladies with James Corden

Michelle Obama has followed in the footsteps of celebrities including Elton John, One Direction and Stevie Wonder, appearing as a guest on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden.

The skit, a recurrent segment on Corden’s The Late Late Show, sees the host picking up stars and driving them around while they chat and sing along to the car stereo.

The First Lady was in a playful mood during the skit. After Corden pulled up at the White House she opens the car door and says to the host: “Hey there! I hear you hear for a 1.45 tour, and I had a little time on my hands.”

As the pair drive along listening to Missy Elliot’s Get Your Freak On, the First Lady reveals that it’s one of the only times in the last seven and-a-half years she’s sat in the front seat of a car listening to music – apart from when she was with her daughter while she was learning to drive a few months ago.

The pair sing and dance along to Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed Delivered, Single Ladies by Beyoncé and This is for My Girls by fellow former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland.
