Socialite Belinda Mutinhiri, the eldest daughter of the Minister of State for Mashonaland East Province retired Brigadier-General Ambrose Mutinhiri and former Zanu PF MP Tracy Mutinhiri, who died in a car accident, was on Wednesday buried at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare.
Belinda who was employed as Marketing Manager at the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority was on Saturday early morning killed when the car she was driving veered off the road and overturned along Borrowdale in Harare.
Her last update Friday evening on Facebook was a check-in saying:
“Belinda Mutinhiri was drinking cocktails at News Cafe Fife Ave Harare with Glo Diamond, Farayi Madzime and Nyasha Yvette Chitambo.”
Tourism minister, Walter Mzembi said he had been shocked by Belinda’s death. Other tourism industry counterparts as well as friends poured in their heartfelt condolences across social media.
A church service was on Tuesday held at Nyaradzo funeral parlour in Harare where friends, colleagues and relatives paid their last respects to Belinda before her burial.
Mourners had been are gathered at number 33 Pendenis Drive in Mt Pleasant, Harare.
Belinda was sister to South Africa based Star Gist television programme presenter, Vimbai, and is survived by the rest of her family members and a daughter named Chloe.
