Mphoko rips into wife thief Mugabe

AN angry Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko says he is a cleaner and better leader than others that he—for now—has chosen not to name, saying at least he has not taken anyone’s wife.

While trying to extricate himself from a web of accusations that range from unbridled corruption to sadistic profligacy, an irritated Mphoko blamed the upsurge a cold wind of bad publicity blowing towards his name on some of his detractors. “I know the people who are responsible.

They know that I’m not corrupt. I have a very clean record throughout my life and that is the biggest problem they have. I don’t have any record of transgression.

For them to carry out their plot they need to soil my name first but it won’t work,” Mphoko fumed. I didn’t take anyone’s wife, and I have my children, my home and my own life is God-given. It is corrupt people who are saying I’m corrupt.” While Mphoko might not have mentioned any names about leaders who have records of transgressions such as taking other people’s wives, many Zimbabweans think they have a fair understanding on who Mphoko was referring to.

Mphoko, who has been staying at the Rainbow Towers since he was appointed Vice President in December of 2014, has made it clear that he has no intention of vacating the luxurious hotel anytime soon.
