Mutharika dares TB Joshua over fake prophesy

Abuja. – Malawian President Peter Mutharika is set to attend a night of prayer today in an attempt to disprove a prophecy made by Nigerian prophet TB Joshua.

According to a Nyasa Times report, Mutharika recently described Joshua as a “fake man” following an alleged prophecy that the Southern African leader would die before April 1.

Although he did not reveal when exactly the alleged prophecy was made, Mutharika recalled a prediction made by Joshua involving the death of his brother, Bingu wa Mutharika, who was president at the time.

Bingu was said to have died within Joshua’s prescribed time, gaining the prophet a large following in the country as a result.

“Let me tell you Joshua . . . you will fail. What you did in 2012 will not happen again this year,” Mutharika was quoted as saying.

Organisers of the upcoming prayer gathering revealed that they would pray for Mutharika’s protection and blessings over the country and its people.

In January, Joshua reportedly gave a televised prophecy, telling his congregation to pray for the leaders in Southern Africa, saying: “End of February to April this year, peculiar months for Southern Africa”.

Mutharika has previously attacked the Synagogue Church of All Nations (Scoan) leader, claiming that he just wanted to make money by mentioning the names of important people in prophecies. – News24.
