Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has today fired shots at theft accused Jonathan Moyo saying it is not Government policy to steal or to fund illegally.
He made it clear during the Q & A session in Parliament when MP Bunjira asked him whether it is a Government policy that US$1 million missing from ZIMDEF, which is being confirmed by the Hon. Minister Prof. Moyo that it funded the one million-march – is it Government policy to fund political parties as alluded to by the Minister in the letter?
Mnangagwa then replied “Hon. Speaker, if I understood the question properly, it is not Government policy to steal or to fund illegally. I have not seen the letter but it is not Government policy”.
Higher and Tertiary Education minister, Jonathan Moyo, faces nine counts of fraud and the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) wanted him arrested before Mugabe blocked the move last week .
