Premier African Minerals Announces Extension At Zimbabwe’s Zulu Lithium Project

London listed mining and exploration company Premier African Minerals Ltd said on Monday the drilling programme at its Zulu Lithium and Tantalum project has confirmed good continuity to the south of the Main Zone of its  Fort Rixon site in Zimbabwe.

In a press statement, the company said the drilling programme has also confirmed continuity in the Main Zone and identified additional targets, including massive pegmatites with high-grade lithium mineralisation intersected in the south-eastern zone, effectively meeting its objective outlined in early August 2017.

Premier African has declared a maiden mineral resource estimate at Zulu of 20.1 million tonnes grading 1.06% lithium oxide including 7 million tonnes grading 1.5% lithium oxide, and an exploration target of 60-80 million tonnes.

The company promised to announce any significant intersections in the near future after confirming receipt of assay results.

George Roach, Premier’s CEO, commented: “These initial results again confirm continuity in the mineralisation of the Main Zone and support our internal exploration target of 60 to 80 million tonnes for this zone. I look forward to updating results in the near future.

However, shares in Premier African Minerals were down , ( -0.030 ) 4.9% at 0.404 pence on Monday.
