Stunner (36) is alleged to have caused serious injuries to two pedestrians and extensively damaged four parked motor vehicles when he rammed into them after losing control of his vehicle.

According to the State, the incident occurred on June 20 this year when Stunner was driving a Toyota Lexus along Jason Moyo Avenue in Harare.

As a result of the impact, one of the vehicles which were hit by Stunner’s car went on to hit Douglas Sachikonye, who was walking on the pavement, and he sustained a fractured pelvis while another person, Norest Murungweni, sustained minor injuries. The State alleges Stunner’s vehicle landed on an Old Mutual building precast wall and it also sustained extensive damages.

At the time of the incident, the State alleges Stunner was negligent and was not a holder of a driver’s licence.

Harare magistrate Nomsa Sabarauta presided over the case and Devon Nyagano appeared for the State.
