Information Communication Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services Minister Supa Mandiwanzira’s position is under spotlight again over a $220 000 donation from Telecel towards his constituency victory celebration last year .
This revelation is likely to cause tensions between management and shareholders now its known that some money was used to sponsor victory celebrations for Mandiwanzira without their approval.

In July 2013, he contested in his first ever political election on a Zanu-PF ticket. He was unchallenged at the primaries and ultimately won the Nyanga South parliamentary seat
According to documents seen by theZimbabwenewslive.com , Telecel CEO Mrs Angelina Vere on 30 November 2015 wrote to Gugulethu Munyeza ,an event organiser with True Reflections confirming a bank transfer on 25 November 2015.
A whistleblower who spoke to this publication revealed that a total of $220 000 was donated by Telecel Zimbabwe. $20 000 actually went towards the celebration with the remaining $200 000 shared individually among Supa Mandiwanzira, Angeline Vere and Telecel Finance Director,Company Secretary and Director Edward Mutsvairo.
Contacted for a comment Gugu Munyeza referred all questions to Supa Mandiwanzira.
” I have no comment on that matter as I am only an employee here at True Reflections. Why not ask Supa himself? I was only an organiser and have no idea how much was contributed”, She said.
“The person who deals with finance is Mrs Mahaka, call her tomorrow”, she added
Last year in July , Supa Mandiwanzira, told Parliament that the government is seeking to take over 100 percent shareholding of Telecel Zimbabwe through Zarnet, a state-owned internet service provider firm
Efforts to get comments from Vere,Mutsvairo and Mandiwanzira were fruitless as their mobile phones went unanswered.
