A couple’s romantic moonlight swim at a Zimbabwe lodge was interrupted by a crocodile that dove into the pool and lunged at the swimmers.

CCTV footage captured the reptile sliding into the hotel pool, according to the U.K. Sun, and it doesn’t take long for the terrified couple to notice the intruder.
The man jumps out of the pool, but his girlfriend is trapped by the crocodile, which lunges at her and bites down on her arm. She manages to fend off the croc before climbing out of the water herself.
The video has been uploaded to YouTube, where user Zimbo88 explains a lack of rainfall in the area has caused a nearby lake to dry up, forcing crocodiles to look elsewhere for water and food.
