A Zimbabwean who was about to be deported back home was saved on the eleventh hour at Heathrow Airport this week.

Campaigners pressed Kenya Airways as well as making frantic last minute calls to prevent Tino Mashonganyika from boarding the plane home. It worked.
“ROHR and Zimbabwe Vigil are pleased to inform you that thanks to all our supporters tireless efforts we were successful in stopping the planned deportation of Tino Mashoganyika last night. Tino (Information Officer for ROHR) has since been taken back to Colynbrook detention centre. We shall continue to update you on any future developments.”
