Zimbabwe have already qualified for the tournament to be staged in Gabon next year.

However familiar faces feature in the squad to travel to Conakry for the 4 September match.

Not travelling though is kingpin Khama Billiat who has been given a rest by Pasuwa following a hectic year with his South African club Mamelodi Sundowns.

Caps United right-back Hardlife Zvirekwi will also miss the trip due to suspension after accumulating two yellow cards.

He is likely to be replaced by Dynamos full back Godknows Murwira who received his debut national team call-up or Maritzburg defender Blessing Moyo.

The likes of Knowledge Musona, Costa Nhamoinesu, Tendai Ndoro, Matthew Rusike and Marvelous Nakamba are the regulars who have been called in by Pasuwa.

“With Khama (Billiat) we have decided to let him rest because he has been busy with his club’s African safari commitments. This match is still important to the team because we are going to use it as a yardstick to measure our progress as a unit and our preparedness for the Gabon Afcon finals,” Pasuwa said.

“That is why only Khama Billiat, whom we thought might have fatigue issues is the only regular player intentionally left out of the squad. We want to maintain our unbeaten record also.”

The Warriors are expected to troop into camp on Sunday and start training the following day.
