ZimVigil volunteers, along with other outraged citizens, will gather at the Willows Medical practice of Dr Nyatsuro on Friday 13th ,to protest the violent seizure of a farm in Zimbabwe.
The protest has garnered international attention after the eviction of white farmers Phillip and Anita Rankin, who worked the Centenary farm for 35 years.
The couple say they were forcibly removed from their home and livelihood by state police wielding AK-47s
Dr Sylvester Nyatsuro, GP at the Willow Medical Centre, says the land lawfully belongs to him and wife Veronica and refutes allegations he has taken it as part of Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe’s controversial redistribution scheme.
The dictator, now 91, has been seizing land from white farmers and handing it to members of Zimbabwe’s ruling Zanu PF party for 16 years.
The protesters want Dr Nyatsuro’s British citizenship revoked.
