However, she is still recovering at the Bulawayo hospital, the family has said.

Pastor Petunia Chiriseri and her late husband, the founder of His Presence Ministries International were involved in a car crash last month along the Bulawayo-Harare Road.

Family spokesperson and founder of Harvest House International Ministries Bishop Colin Nyathi yesterday said Pastor Chiriseri was getting better.

“She has been removed from the ICU and is steadily recovering. We know a lot of people want to visit her. But we’re appealing to the public to bear with us. She still needs to rest and we would not want a lot of people visiting her at the hospital,” said Bishop Nyathi.

He said Apostle’s Chiriseri’s burial set for next week on Saturday will proceed as planned.

“The burial service will be conducted at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Hall Number 3 on October 22,” said Bishop Nyathi’s office.

Pastor Chiriseri is a member of the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission and was sworn in by President Mugabe on July 7, this year.

Apostle Chiriseri’s founded His Presence Ministries International that has branches in the United Kingdom, South Africa and 10 branches across Zimbabwe.

He was a member and leader of the Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe and Council of Apostles.

He is survived by his wife, four children and an adopted niece.
