Dynamos are currently a house burning with majority fans demanding the reinstatement of former coach Paulo Jorge Silva, who was fired last week.
The Harare giants were on Sunday beaten 1-0 by FC Platinum, at their Rufaro Stadium home, to seal a horrible start to the season that has seen them managing just one win, two draws and three defeats.
In the six games they have played, they have failed to score in five of them, scrambling in a paltry two goals – all against Mutare City – while conceding six times.
Now settled at 15th position on the log, just a rung better than debutants and bottom-placed Border Strikers, Dynamos are surely a house on fire.
Also underlining a horrific season so far, they have also surrendered supremacy bitter city rivals Caps United who beat them in the Harare derby for the first time in seven earlier this month.
The fans are now evidently fed up with the goings-on and on Sunday they turned violent, smashing the windscreen of club secretary general Webster Chikengezha’s car after the match.
They belted chants denouncing club president Kenny Mubaiwa who, sensing danger, did not attend the game.
The supporters also sang songs demanding that Silva be reinstated. Silva was fired last week and his former assistant Lloyd Mutasa was on charge on Sunday.
During the match, the fans wildly cheered Silva who watched the game from the VIP stand as they sang songs of praises for him.
Mutasa has been given a five-game trial to prove his worth before they consider him for a permanent job.
But his start at the helm was spoiled by former Dynamos diminutive defender Gift Bello who rose high to head home a corner kick for FC Platinum.
“This is quite disappointing because we really needed to win this match for us to bounce back. It is very unfortunately that we conceded what I think is a simple goal from a set piece,” Mutasa said.
“We lacked individual concentration which is needed during a set piece. We also did not executive ourselves well in the first half but we came back showing some hunger in the second half. But unfortunately we could not score and we hope we will get it right in the next games.”
In their next match Dynamos visit Tsholotsho who have emerged as tricky opponents this season.
They will then host Highlanders in what could probably be a stern test for Mutasa before they travel to Chapungu.
Mutasa’s trial period ends by welcoming Ngezi Platinum.
The Dynamos leadership are set to appoint former players Murape Murape and Clayton Munemo to assist Mutasa during this period.
