Herentals’ passion for developing sports

HERENTALS College has continued with its passion for developing sport through its support of the Warriors and Mighty Warriors. For the past three years, the college has been availing its fleet of buses to the national teams. It provides buses during camping, official local games and to and from the airport when playing outside the country. Besides sponsoring the national teams, Herental College has one of the top teams competing in Northern Division One League. Some of the players were plucked from Mutasa Central and have since taken the league by storm during their two-year filtration with the second tier league.benza

Its chief executive, Innocent Dambudzo Benza has been leading from the front, both on the field of play and sponsoring the team. Benza has contributed most of the assists for his team. Herentals Group of Colleges management committee member and secretary-general of Herentals Football Club, Kudakwashe Remba, said the college would continue chipping in where necessary and support the development of soccer in the country.

“With the blessing of having a patriotic chief executive officer, Innocent Dambudzo Benza, Herentals College will continue to assist the nation and ZIFA through transport sponsorship to the Warriors and the Mighty Warriors.

“Herentals College also proves its passion for sports through offering various sporting activities on all its more than 21 branches nationwide. The college will hold the National Herentals Group of Colleges and Schools Ball Games Gala in July at the National Sports Stadium. Soccer will be its main event,” said Remba.

He said apart from sponsoring a Division One outfit, they were also sponsoring a development club in Division Two, which acts as a feeder to the Division One team.
