Zimbabwe first African nation to join Pacific Asia Travel Association

Zimbabwe has just joined the Pacific Asia Travel Association in a bid to increase tourism. Its a move the government is hoping will boost tourism and encourage growth within the sector.

The government has recently eased it’s visa restrictions for holiday makers to allow easier entry for tourists and by  joining the association Zimbabwe will gain access to data and events shared by countries within the association.  The Zimbabwean government is aiming to gain an influx of Asian tourists. Zimbabwe will be the 98th government member of the Pacific Asia Travel Association and the only African member.
