Acting President Emmerson Mnangagwa along with former National Healing co-minister Sekai Holland are pushing for the establishment of Peace Studies Centre at the Midlands State University in Gweru.
Holland said that she had met Mnangagwa early yesterday in her capacity as a co-patron of the institution to bring him up to speed with how things have moved including the recent graduation.
She said she was briefing him on the graduation process because he could not attend and also explaining to him the progress made with regards to the Peace Studies Department establishment in which they now have 100 students who have completed their first semester.
Holland said these acts of violence underscore the importance of the announcement recently made by President Robert Mugabe regarding the functions of VP Phelekezela Mphoko.
