‘First Lady Grace Mugabe beats girl living with sons in South Africa’

JOHANNESBURG – The First Lady Grace Mugabe is alleged to have beaten up an unnamed girl living with her sons in South Africa according to leaked information from sources.

First Lady Grace Mugabe did not attend the youth rally in Matebeleland South on Saturday, hardly two weeks after she raffled feathers with senior party officials including Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and her husband’s spokesman George Charamba.

According to President Robert Mugabe, the First Lady is in South Africa to have her foot examined following a freak accident at the Harare international airport a few weeks ago.

Her two sons are in South Africa where they are allegedly leading a lavish lifestyle. Last night sources told The Zimbabwe Mail that a kicking and screaming Grace Mugabe grabbed the girl by the dreadlocks and with the assistants of her aids they beat her up the girl and shouting vulgar. The source at the scene who we cannot reveal for his safety said the girl tried to fight back and one of the First Lady’s aid was seen drawing out a gun from its holster.

A police cars and another vehicle which looked like an ambulance were seen driving in and out of the property. At the time of going to press, we could not verify if the girl beaten up was the same girl with an American ascent who appeared on video with the younger of President Mugabe son’s Chatunga Bellarmine.

First Lady Grace Mugabehas reportedly admitted that her two sons have become wild and have taken to beer binges and drugs.

Grace has publicly expressed her anguish that her two sons were giving her “sleepless nights”.

The Mugabe sons made headlines recently after they were evicted from a luxury apartmentblock in Johannesburg’s affluent Sandton area because of their “unacceptable behavior”.

The boys had been renting a luxury apartment at The Regent apartment hotel, in Morningside, Sandton.

“The boys were usually up during the night partying with different ladies, drinking and smoking,” one unnamed resident was quoted as saying at the time.

“There were almost daily complaints by other tenants about the noise coming from apartment 601 (the Mugabes’ apartment).”

‘I’ve turned to God for wisdom’

Grace, who spoke during her sister’s birthday party in Shamva over the weekend, claimed that demons were at play, destroying children everywhere, she said.

“Nowadays there are spirits attacking our children. The spirit of drinking, drug abuse and doing other abnormal things way beyond their age,” the First lady was quoted as saying.

“I am telling you because the behaviour of children does not matter if they are the president’s children or not. All children are mischievous these days.

Grace has urged parents not to give up on their children when they became wild, but to soldier on and have faith in God.

“I have turned to God for wisdom. I ask the Lord for intervention and pray everyday when I wake up,” Grace said.

Grace’s sons relocated to South Africa from Harare and Dubai earlier this year.

Zimbabwe’s war veterans who side with the military bluntly have told the First Lady to control her children first before she can think of publicly reprimanding senior party officials.

The First Lady used the slogan at the Chinhoyi rally and said she was the mother of the nation and the third assistant of President Mugabe- together with the two Vice-Presidents.

The video has evoked criticism due to the fact that most of his father’s subjects are living lives of abject poverty.

One of Mugabe’s sons Chatunga, has divided opinions after sharing a video of himself living a lavish lifestyle.

The Mugabe progeny have been making headlines of late for their profligate lifestyle. The sons were “evicted” last month from a luxury Sandton apartment, according to Zimbabwe media, at The Regent apartment hotel in Morningside after supposed unacceptable behaviour in a “dispute over women”.

They had a brawl that allegedly left a security guard with a broken arm and leg. First Lady Grace Mugabe apparently had to fly to Johannesburg to find another home for the young men.

In this latest video, a drinking and smoking Chatunga boasts about how he is a regular clubber and doesn’t eat Zimbabwean food such as sadza. He’s in a room with his friends, and appears alongside a woman who isn’t identified. She seems to have an American accent, however.

He and his friends seem to be drinking Ace of Spaces champagne, which sells for between R5000 and R7000 a bottle.

According to media sources, the camouflage sweater he wears in the video has been banned in Zimbabwe by Mugabe – the world’s oldest surviving leader, at 93.

Chatanga advised people to “live your life and have fun”, among other pearls of wisdom.

Most Zimbabweans have been struggling with crushing poverty that has caused a large percentage of the population to leave for other countries, particularly South Africa, as economic refugees.

Chatunga Bellarmine’s brother Robert Junior is apparently a student at the University of Johannesburg, and the brothers are chauffeured around in luxury limousines, according to the media.

The same media had earlier reported they were relocated to South Africa after “security concerns” about their safety. The two could be targeted “not just for crime, but also for political reasons”.

Grace at the time was quoted as saying: “Imagine it has got to a stage where they want to kill my son Bellarmine”.-TheZimbabweMail.com
